Public website usage

The public quest1on experience stores your streak and answer history locally in your browser. This is used to show your progress and does not require a public user account.

If you clear your browser storage or switch device/browser, your streak and answer history may be lost because they are stored locally on your device.

Admin area

The internal admin area uses a secure HTTP-only session cookie after successful login with the configured admin password. This cookie is only used to keep administrators signed in and protect the backend.

Questions created in the admin area are stored on the server in a file-based storage system used to publish the daily questions on the website.

Cookie and consent management

Optional services are disabled by default. Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and (if configured) Google Tag Manager are only activated after your explicit consent.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

• Google Analytics: usage measurement and aggregated reach analysis. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention in GA4 depends on the configured property setting (commonly 2 or 14 months).
• Google AdSense: ad delivery and campaign measurement. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention depends on Google advertising settings and publisher configuration.
• Google Tag Manager (optional): technical tag orchestration. Legal basis for optional tags controlled via GTM: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). GTM itself is used to manage scripts and does not replace consent.

Technical note: consent decisions are stored with a version (1). If the consent/policy setup changes and a newer version is released, we prompt you again to review and renew your choice.

Third-party services

The website loads the Montserrat font from Google Fonts and may therefore contact Google servers when the site is opened. Depending on your server and host configuration, standard server log files may also be created by your hosting provider.

If you contact us regarding personal data processing, you may have rights under applicable law, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
